7 Layer Zip

May 3, 2020      msollie862@gmail.com      Leave a Comment

One of my favorite dips for a large crowd is the delicious Mexican 7 layer dip. Serve cold or room temperature with tortilla chips and watch it disappear in minutes! 7 layers of delicious flavors that you can eat all in one bite!

7 Layer Dip is one of my favorite dips because ONE- I love anything with mexican flavors. And TWO… it’s the ultimate combination of Mexican flavors including refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, salsa, green onions, and black olives.

Heres what you’ll need…

1 can of refried beans

1 cup of your favorite Salsa- I use Mateo’s from Costco

1-2 large Avocados

1-1/2 cup of sour cream

1-8 oz bag of cheddar cheese or Mexican blend cheese

3/4 cup of sliced green onions

1 small can of sliced olives

1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt

1 bag of tortilla chips

First cut your avocados and mash them up. Add in 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt and mix together with the avocados. Set a side. Now slice up your green onions.

Grab a 13” x 9 “ casserole dish and open your can of refried beans and smooth them over the bottom of the pan.

Next, add you salsa and smooth over the beans.

Now comes the layer of mashed avocados and then sour cream comes next.

Once the avocado and sour cream are all smoothed over, sprinkle your cheese to cover the sour cream layer.

Last but not least, add your layer of sliced green onions and the olives.

AND BOOOM. Your 7 layer dip is done! Refrigerate until time to serve. Serve with tortilla chips.

Enjoy- M xoxox
